hi all,
I have setup a server in xSP/ASP mode with hosted organizations. I am trying to figure out how the SMTP service is working and I can not understand all the different settings that I have available.
Basicaly I don't undestand what is the use of the SMTP Inbound Internet Site document in hosted Organization, since if you setup a correct Global Domain Document for the domain (example acme.com), mail will deliver with no problem to the correct domain. Also if that document (SMTP Inbound Internet Site document) is for the POP3/SMTP clients (outlook etc), then it seams that the server ignores that document and is working with the SMTP task as it was in a normal Domino installation (not xSP/ASP).
My main problem is that I want to setup the server to receive emails for all Hosted Organizations but I want to send emails only from authenticated users in the Hosted Organizations. As far as I undestand all I have to do is to setup a SMTP Site document for every hosted Organization I want to enable to send emails from a POP3/SMTP client and set the Anonymous to No. Because the server ignores that document this is not working.
So can someone please explain what is the SMTP Inbound Internet Site document and how do I use it?
(note: I have a Configuration Document with the settings to allow relays only for authenticated users)
